The King Fahd Hospital of the university, department of Urology, is dedicated to achieve excellence in clinical urologic patient care, education and research. Being a tertiary referral center in a territory-wide based area, the objective of the department is to deliver a comprehensive, state of the art service to the community in an environment that fosters innovation in both surgery and education of medical students and residents.
The department is composed of 7 full time urology consultants, 3 specialists and 5 residents supported by a fully equipped lithotripsy and urodynamic unit with a capacity of 11 inpatient beds.
Outstanding health care services are provided to all age groups and are conducted through 7 specialized clinics with particular expertise in the following urologic subspecialties:
- Pediatric urology
- Endourology and minimally invasive surgery
- Urologic oncology
- Functional urology and
- Reconstruction
