The Department of Anesthesia provides a comprehensive range of anesthesia services to KFHU patients, which is run by a team of highly qualified, skilled, and experienced staff. Besides its clinical duties, the department also offers an active academic and training program for undergraduates, postgraduates, and Saudi board anesthesia residents. All services provided are in accordance with the standards set by the Joint Commission International (JCI).
Anesthesia department collaborate with all surgical and medical departments to provide complete anesthesia services which includes, general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) with sedation in different hospital areas which includes:
- 10 Major Operating Rooms
- Anesthesia Preoperative Evaluation Clinic (APEC)
- Delivery Room
- Endoscopy suit
- Cardiac catheterization Lab.
- Interventional Radiology Suite
- CT and MRI
- Pain clinic
Hours of Service Provision
Anesthesia services are available to all patients on an emergent, urgent and elective basis, Sunday through Thursday, with on-call coverage after working hours and on weekends and holidays.
Elective services: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Sunday – Thursday)
Emergency services: 24 hours 7 days a week.
