About

Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal (IAU) is committed to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing creative knowledge, research, and professional services with effective community partnerships. The Sustainable Development Unit was established by the decision of H.E, President of IAU, No. (40936) on 11/06/1444H and it is one of the units associated with the Office of the Vice President for Development and Community Partnership. The unit is concerned with providing awareness and support to achieve the university's goals related to sustainable development and transformation into a green, sustainable and environmentally friendly university.

Objectives

  • Spreading the culture of sustainable development among university employees and the community.
  • Follow up on achieving the university's strategic goals related to sustainable development.
  • Ensure the availability of operational plans and completion reports for programs, projects and sustainable development initiatives from different university units.
  • Follow up the improvement plans for the goals of sustainable development from different university units.
  •  Documenting and publishing evidence and reports related to achieving sustainable development to competent entities and ranking.
