I am delighted to welcome you to the website of the Centre for Quality of Assessment and Examinations (QA Centre) at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University (IAU). This website sheds light on the QA central units and the key activities, services, and events provided by the QA Centre with the aim of achieving IAU strategic vision to provide high quality knowledge and educational services. Accordingly, the QA Centre was established as one of the main projects of the strategic plan of the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs at IAU to accomplish the goal of "Improving practices related to assessment and examinations".
The process of student assessment is a key indicator for the quality of teaching and learning in the higher education institutions that ensures a valid and reliable measurement and achievement of the learning outcomes. As a result, the quality of the assessment process is of the centre of the attention at IAU via the QA Centre and colleges which aims to adopt advanced systems and mechanisms for student assessment and examinations that ensure to fulfil the quality standards and the national and international accreditation on the basis of fairness, objectivity and responsibility for the academic programs.
Additionally, the QA centre monitors numerous initiatives and projects that reflect a promising vision towards improving the student assessment processes in the academic programs and adopting and developing the best practices while assessing the students. This is accomplished via a framework of cooperation and integration with colleges, academic units, and relevant deanships at IAU.
