Overview  

The Vice Deanship for Development and Community Partnership reports to the Dean of the College and aims to supervise development and quality processes, to achieve accreditation and academic evaluation standards in the educational process in the academic departments, to increase the efficiency of faculty members and the like, to develop their professional skills, to work for enhancing social responsibility and volunteer work, and to expand the scope of Community partnerships. It pays attention to following up with alumni, communicating with them, and benefiting from their experiences with their professional and academic lives, as well as to helping those who about to graduate through various programs and services that qualify them for the labor market.

 Scope and Responsibilities 

  1. Supervise the units affiliated by the Vice Deanship. 
  2. Supervise all development performance-improving projects to ensure the application of comprehensive quality methods and tools. 
  3. Work to spread the culture of quality assurance at the college level in all academic agencies, departments, and departments. 
  4. Coordinate all training workshops concerned with the localization of quality practices provided by college employees. 
  5. Supervise the application of academic accreditation standards for academic programs. 
  6. Verify that the department applying for accreditation meet the requirements for self-study programs and academic accreditation. 
  7. Coordinate between the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation at the university and the academic programs in the college to ensure utmost cooperation between the two and to meet the Deanship’s requirements. 
  8. Supervise all university requirements, including documents and evidences for institutional accreditation. 
  9. Supervise the preparation of the college strategic plan and following up on the implementation of the related projects and initiatives while cooperating with the academic agencies and departments. 
  10. Investigate the academic programs’ implementation of course and program descriptions and reports as updated and announced by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission. 
  11.  Study the challenges and obstacles facing the development and the quality of programs and suggest solutions to them. 
  12. Develop plans for periodic reviews to ensure quality standards and continuous improvement of performance. 
  13. Raise the efficiency of faculty members and the like to continually develop their professional skills and offer training workshops in coordination with the Deanship of University Education Development. 
  14. Localize all quality practices to ensure the best performance while aligning them with the academic accreditation standards for teaching and learning. 
  15. Follow up on the achievement of the college and the university’s strategic plan in relation to the teaching and learning objectives to achieve the performance indicators associated with them. 
  16. Supervise the shared memorandums between the college and the community institutions in a way that ensures mutual benefit between the two and in accordance with the university’s bylaws and regulations and evaluating these memorandums using periodic reports. 
  17. Work to enhance community responsibility and partnership by increasing the number of community partnerships and scientific and community studies. 
  18. Supervise the preparation and implementation of the annual community service plan to ensure the college’s effective participation in community partnerships. 
  19. Document the college employees’ community service activities in the Social Responsibility Bank and in the voluntary work platform. 
  20. Implement and follow up the activities of awards for creativity and excellence in academic, research, and functional performance in the college. 
  21. Work with the college academic, research, and administrative authorities to update the college’s organizational structure in accordance with official developments and prepare the necessary procedures guides. 
  22. Participate in monitoring and measuring initiatives and performance indicators of spending efficiency, the university’s strategic plan, and the requirements of the National Center for Measuring the Performance of Public Agencies. 
  23. Participate in monitoring the college performance indicators annually and develop improvement plans. 
  24. Supervise the preparation of the college annual report and submitting it to the competent authorities after the approval of the dean of the college. 
  25. Create and update a database for college alumni and employment rates and locations. 
  26. Communicate with college alumni and monitor the challenges they face, while ensuring that they continue to support the college and participate in its activities. 
  27. Continuous marketing for college alumni and their skills by holding events and exhibitions to publicize these after inviting employers and stakeholders and coordinating with the Graduate Center and Professional Development in this regard. 
  28. Measure employers’ satisfaction with college alumni and use the results of this to improve educational outcomes of the programs. 
  29. Implement techniques to obtain the expectations, requirements, and level of satisfaction of the college’s customers (both internal and external) and follow up on that with the academic departments and other administrative units of the college. 
  30. Coordinate with the relevant college units, departments, and agencies. 
  31. Submit periodic reports to the Dean of the College on the work progress by the units affiliated with the Vice Deanship while stating their achievements and difficulties. 
  32. Follow up on administrative work, on attending meetings, and on all aspects related to the Vice Deanship for Development and Community Partnership and its affiliated units. 
  33. Do tasks assigned by the Dean of the College.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop the executive plan for department heads and faculty members and have it documented by the Council. 
  • Follow up and approve educational programs advisory committees. 
  • Follow up on the completion of course files for new educational programs and submit them to the Deanship. 
  • Open and disseminatine the necessary questionnaires to measure the quality of teaching and learning. 
  • Offer workshops for department quality coordinators and faculty members to implement the quality requirements.

Training and Development Unit

  • Develop a plan for training and development at the college and have it approved by the College Council. 
  • Identify the training needs of faculty members and administrators at the college. 
  • Hold training courses. 
  • Coordinate the attendance of faculty members and administrators for courses inside and outside the university. 
  • Publish a satisfaction measurement questionnaire.

Community Service Unit

Responsibilities: 

  • Identify departmental proposals regarding community service, develop executive plans and policies for community service programs, and have them approved by the College Council. 
  • Participate with the departments in developing the executive plan for the training areas in the community surrounding the college and initiate these programs. 
  • Organize and hold seminars, lectures, and volunteer campaigns for community service. 
  • Submit reports clarifying the numbers of participants and beneficiaries of community activities. 
  • Supervise the improvement of service at the Social Responsibility Bank. 
  • Urge initiatives to bring about change in society. 
  • Spread and enhance the culture of volunteering among college employees. 
  • Communicate and cooperate with governmental sector and the private sector to enhance and develop horizons and areas of sustainable community service.

Alumni Unit

Responsibilities: 

  • Build relationships with alumni and those expected to graduate, hold periodic meetings with them, and introduce them to the services provided to them by the center and connecting them with it. 
  • Have periodic interaction and communication with alumni through social media and understand their needs. 
  • Activate and promote forums for alumni. 
  • Activate the alumni card program and give alumni all the needed information about it. 
  • Coordinate and supervise the conduct of training workshops needed by alumni and those expected to graduate. 
  • Participate in the activities of the Career Forum. 
  • Activate the college’s career counseling and guidance programs in coordination with the Alumni Center.

Strategic Planning Unit

  • Supervise the preparation of the college’s strategic plan and follow up on the projects and initiatives it contains in cooperation with academic agencies and departments.

Statistics Unit

Responsibilities:

  • Participate with the Quality Control Unit in activating awareness-raising campaigns on the importance of filling out questionnaires.
  • Identify and address questionnaire problems that students face while filling out questionnaires.
  • Follow up on the analysis of data and statistics related to the results of questionnaires through the questionnaire system for academic programs.
  • Supervise the development of improvement plans in cooperation with the Quality Control Unit.
  • Follow up on collecting the opinions of beneficiaries, including students, faculty members, employees, graduates, and employers, through a set of questionnaires
