The Vice Deanship of Scientific Research and Innovation at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Jubail oversees the processes related to postgraduate studies and scientific research in the college. In line with the 2030 vision, the vice deanship works toward increasing the scientific production of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University aiming to raise its rank among other educational institutes.
In addition to that, the vice deanship looks after the current and prospective postgraduate students, guiding them through the process of scholarship application and following up on their progress through it. This starts from selecting the right program that meets the college vision until they graduate from the programs.

- Postgraduate studies unit
Establish, follow-up, and supervise the conduct of postgraduate programs at the college.
- Research and Scientific Publishing Unit
- Establishing a research map for the faculty while building collaboration among the departments.
- Provide advice and support throughout the research process.
- Encourage scientific publications in well recognized journals following the university’s rules and regulation and providing support toward achieving this goal.
- Scholarship Unit
- Guide the demonstrators and lecturers during the application process.
- Follow up and track each student.

- Supervise the units of the vice deanship.
- Supervise the activities and the development of college faculty in the field of scientific research.
- Follow up and supervise the formation of research teams in specialized and joint fields.
- Supervise the development of the research strategy, plan, and implementation mechanisms within the college.
- Establishing necessary plans and guidelines to guide researchers and postgraduate students in serving developmental objectives and addressing societal issues in their studies and research.
- Follow up the provision of financial support for research from the university and external funding entities outside the college.
- Supervising the establishment and development of postgraduate programs that meet national needs and objectives.
- Follow up the implementation of orientation programs for postgraduate students.
- Follow up the status of the college's scholarship students abroad.
- Follow up postgraduate students' academic progress, enrollment, and schedules in postgraduate programs.
- Follow up the progress of postgraduate studies examinations and committees within the college.
- Supervising the development (update and creation) of postgraduate programs to align with national strategies, objectives, and labor market requirements according to university guidelines.
- Localizing all quality practices to ensure optimal performance and compliance with academic accreditation standards for postgraduate programs.
- Verifying the provision of a suitable educational environment that includes educational facilities, laboratories, and all requirements of postgraduate programs to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow up the scientific associations and chairs located at the college.
- Coordinating with the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and supporting the college's activities in this field.
- Promoting the entrepreneurship environment at the university through organizing events, workshops, and lectures.
- Follow up all aspects related to patents, registration files, intellectual property rights, and encouraging college staff in this field.
- Verification of the fulfilment of requests for scientific promotions, scientific sabbatical, scientific communication, and attendance at conferences presented by faculty members.
- Supervising the completion of all requirements of the College Scientific Council at the university.
- Monitoring the achievement of the college/university's strategic plan regarding scientific research and innovation goals and associated performance indicators.
- Submitting periodic reports to the college dean on the progress of vice deanship units, including achievements and challenges.
- Follow up updates to the college's website concerning the college vice deanship and its units.
- Follow up administrative tasks, attending meetings, and all matters related to the scientific research and innovation vice deanship and its units.
- Carrying out other tasks and duties assigned by the college dean.
