Academic Affairs is the mainstay of the college as it is concerned with serving students and faculty and providing a suitable educational environment to raise the level of education.    

The Vice Deanship of Academic Affairs is concerned with following the progress of the educational process in all academic programs while focusing on promoting quality practices and continuous improvement to achieve academic excellence in curriculum and teaching methods. 

The college's vice deanship is committed to providing support and guidance to its students and staff and supports academic and development activities.  It also seeks to achieve the vision, mission and objectives of the college, by building a unique personality for its graduates scientifically, skillfully, and professionally and qualifying them to perform their roles and responsibilities to serve the community and compete with the characteristics and requirements of the job market.

Objectives

  1. Achieving academic excellence through curriculum development and improving teaching methods.
  2. Providing necessary support for students through developmental and guidance programs and creating an educational environment that encourages creativity and academic excellence.
  3. Developing and enhancing quality practices in the educational process, and continuously working on improving academic standards.
  4. Developing students scientifically, professionally, and skillfully, and preparing them to face the challenges of the job market and achieve the college's vision and mission in serving the community and competing in the job market.

 

Academic Affairs Committee

The committee is responsible for developing and updating policies and regulations related to academic affairs at the college, in accordance with the rules and regulations for courses and examinations, and their organizational procedures at the university. The committee also reviews special academic requests related to various academic procedures.

Examination Committee

The Examination Committee oversees the administration and organization of examinations at the college, ensuring their readiness, confidentiality, and proper conduct to achieve the highest quality standards and ensure a fair experience for all students.

Admission and Registration Unit

The Admission and Registration Unit oversees all aspects of student enrollment in courses and ensures their adherence to the academic plan. Additionally, it manages the Student Information System (SIS) at the college in collaboration with the Deanship of Admissions and Registration.

Support and Counseling Unit

The Support and Counseling Unit focuses on monitoring students' academic progress to assist them in adapting to university life and providing academic support to help them build a successful and healthy academic experience. Additionally, the unit offers support and counseling to college students, aiming to develop their academic, social, psychological, and professional skills. The unit works in coordination with the University Counseling Center.

Quality of Assessment and Examination Unit

The Quality of Assessment and Examination Unit is responsible for monitoring the quality of student assessment and examinations in all academic programs at the college, through overseeing the implementation of assessment and examination policies and procedures at the university. Additionally, the unit prepares technical reports on examinations and assessment tasks at the college.

Curriculum Development Unit

The Curriculum Development Unit is responsible for developing and updating the academic program curricula to align with scientific advancements and the demands of the job market. The unit's team includes chairpersons of scientific departments within the college.

The Student Activities Unit

The Student Activities Unit offers a wide range of cultural and social activities aimed at enhancing students' cultural awareness and equipping them with various social skills. Activities include, but are not limited to, public lectures, competitions, celebrations, social support initiatives, awareness exhibitions, and campaigns. The unit offers a variety of activities and training courses to develop students' skills, support the execution of their ideas, and encourage them to gain experiences and skills that contribute to building a creative, proactive, and qualified university persona.
