Praise be to Allah, who has elevated knowledge and its seekers, revealed His divine scriptures, and sent forth His messengers. May peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammed and his family, companions, and all who follow in his path.

Indeed, the sciences of Sharia are the best of sciences and the noblest, and the greatest in reward with Allah on the Day of Resurrection. They are the most precious things that time have been spent on and energies have been devoted to, and the worthiest of competition among competitors and the most diligent effort among the diligent.

It is from the grace of Almighty God that He has bestowed upon us in this blessed country of support for science and education, care for its people, and glorification of its value until our country has become a towering beacon and a shining star, whose goodness is widespread to all. Among that goodness and generosity is the royal approval issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Higher Education Council, on the minutes of the Higher Education Council Session No. 74, with the kind telegraphic directive No. 3330, dated 28/11/2013, to establish the College of Sharia and Law at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University.

The founding committees began building the projects of this successful college, one brick at a time, aspiring to create added value and a constructive contribution to these programs, preserving their achievements, enhancing the quality of their outputs, and keeping pace with the latest developments and issues. The college adopted a “skills-based” approach in its vision, mission, objectives, and programs, and designed an advanced scientific and practical project for Sharia and legal training. The core of this project was implemented in the “Bachelor of Sharia” program, followed by the “Bachelor of Law” program. As a result, the college has today become, by God's grace, a leading center of expertise in Islamic jurisprudence, judiciary, and law. It has established strong partnerships with numerous government and private universities and institutions

Today, after a decade of journey, it continues with steady steps towards excellence in providing Sharia and Law sciences, making quality education and its efficiency, contributing to human capacity development, and striving for comprehensive development as core pillars of its objectives and a cornerstone of its strategic plan. By the grace of God, it encompasses a wealth of programs at various levels, including bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, and actively contributes to fulfilling its mission. This beautiful college has been and continues to be, by God’s grace, a shade-giving tree, extending its hands with goodness and knowledge to its sons and its community. It is a building block in the edifice of giving in this giving nation. By the grace of God, it sends forth every year convoys of graduates into the fields of work and giving, after a journey full of diligence and perseverance, and a path filled with effort and persistence, towards a bright future filled with the fragrance of challenge and determination, and a spirit of giving and perseverance

The Colleges of Sharia and Law in the Kingdom have received great support, renewed confidence, and strong empowerment. The Highest, and our thanks go to all those who have supported and contributed to their progress towards achieving their aspirations. We thank

the leaders, the Minister of Education, and the President of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University for all the support and empowerment that the college has received. I also thank my esteemed colleagues, the faculty, and staff members of this college, for their efforts and dedication.

In conclusion, it is my pleasure to welcome you, dear visitor, to this bright window, hoping that you will find what you seek on the college’s page and achieve your goals. It is a gateway for communication and an introduction to the college, its vision, departments, programs, activities, and news.

I ask Allah Almighty to bless our efforts, purify our intentions, and bestow upon us His blessings, goodness, and happiness.

All praise is due to Allah at the beginning and the end.

Dr. Osamah bin Mohammed Al-Marshod.

Dean of the College of Sharia and Law.
