Bachelor of Science in Biology ( Cell and Molecular)
The student studies 139 teaching units to obtain a bachelor's degree, distributed as follows:
- 5 courses (10 credit units) for university requirements.
- 10 courses (41 credit units) for college requirements.
- 21 courses (58 credit units) for program requirements.
- 7 courses (18 credit units) for track requirements.
- 2 elective courses (4 credit units).
First year
(Preparatory Year- Scientific Track)
The student studies a full preparatory year (scientific track). In it, the student learns the basics of mathematical sciences, English language and computer science, through which she acquires the necessary skills to deal with computer programs. Then she joins one of the four departments in the College of Science.
Second year
The student studies the basic requirements of biology and a number of other specialized subjects, and various courses from the college and university requirements that contribute to the student achieving the program goals.
Third year
The student completes the most advanced courses in biology, and various courses from the college and university requirements that contribute to the student achieving the program goals.
Fourth year
The student studies the specialized subjects of the track in which she was registered, such as bacteriology, virology, microbiology of petroleum and minerals, environmental microbiology, and prepares the graduation project during the first and second semesters.
Summer semester
The student registers for the summer field training course for female students to prepare her for the labor market.
