Bachelor of Science in Physics and Renewable Energy

The program consists of 139 credit hours spanning over four years with two semesters per year. It consists of 8 levels in addition to field training. The courses in the Physics and Renewable Energy program are divided into four main categories: university requirements, college requirements, basic requirements for the major, as well as electives.

Mission

Providing qualified graduates in this field with applicable knowledge by enhancing continuous learning, critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills related to physics and renewable energy that will enable them to effectively contribute to serving the community and competing in the local labor market. 

Objectives of the Program 

1- The program follows the admission conditions and controls specified by the Deanship of Admission and Registration at Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University (Click Here )  as follows:    

• Conditions related to nationality:
• The applicant must be Saudi or non-Saudi with a Saudi mother. 
• The applicant for the internal scholarship from non-Saudis or displaced tribes must be between (17 - 25) years old to be accepted. 
• The applicant for the internal scholarship from non-Saudis must have a valid residency and the comparison will be made according to the available seats for each nationality after the approval of the Ministry of Education, with a tuition fee of 9200 riyals, including value-added tax, for each semester throughout the period of his studies at the university, in accordance with what is stated in the acceptance notice for non-Saudis. 
• The applicant from the displaced tribes must have a valid residency or proof of an extract from the Ministry of Interior and the comparison will be made according to the available seats by the Ministry of Education.

2- Conditions related to the high school certificate:

The applicant must have obtained a Saudi high school diploma or its equivalent within five years, which is for graduates of the years (1441-1442-1443-1444-1445 AH) to apply for all programs except for the health programs.

3- The applicant must have obtained a score on the (General Aptitude and Achievement) tests from The National Center for Assessment (Qyias) and documented in the Government Transactions Program (Yasser), and no more than five years must have passed since the date of the test when submitting the application to join the university.

4- The applicant must not have a current or previous record at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University.

5- He must not be registered or accepted at another Saudi university (dual admission).

6- The non-Saudi applicant or one of the displaced tribes must not be a candidate for admission to any other Saudi university.

Conditions for joining the program:

To successfully pass all foundational first-year courses of the program with a cumulative grade point average of no less than 3 out of 5.
