Warm greetings! I am delighted to welcome you to the College of Nursing, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University.
Undeniably, Nursing is one of the most exciting and in demand profession nationwide and worldwide. It is with great honor and privilege for you as future Saudi Nurses of this country to enter into the noble profession of nursing. Nursing plays a vital and crucial role in our daily lives listing it by far one of the principal contributing factors in the improvement of human health honored by the World Health Organization (WHO).
As I look back being a graduate of this institution and now as I look ahead as the appointed Dean of the College of Nursing, one word constantly comes to my mind: Opportunity. I am thrilled that the College of Nursing is well positioned to pursue opportunities for the growth and enrichment as part of the Saudi Vision 2030. It is our vision to be the leading College of Nursing in Saudi Arabia and in the eastern region to be recognized nationally and internationally for excellence in education, research and community service. Our mission is to prepare nursing students to be effective specialists and leaders who will work to improve the healthcare profession and health of the people of Saudi Arabia and beyond based on Islamic values and ethical aspects of the nursing profession.
You will find that our curriculum for the Undergraduate Program is distinguished by its comprehensiveness and objectivity. Our Postgraduate Programs offers Master in Clinical Nursing Science with five different specialties such as Medical Surgical Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecologic Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and Higher Diploma in Midwifery. We also offer Parallel Bridging Program which aims to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing that prepares the graduate to work collaboratively with other health organizations for the promotion of health and improve the quality of life. We are equipped with state of the art clinical lab simulations to give students experience from practicing basic assessment skills to managing patients with complex critical care needs utilizing simulation experiences.
Moreover, the College of Nursing offers scholarships to qualified students to continue their education and pursue both master and doctoral degrees in various disciplines of nursing at prestigious universities throughout the world. Recently, the College of Nursing achieved program accreditation from the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA), another milestone achievement.
