- Mobile station air quality monitoring for EIA studies
- Designing Innovative Air Pollution Control Technologies
- Bioaerosol Sampling and Analysis
- Stack Gas Monitoring
- Optimizing Current Air Pollution Control Technologies
- CO2 adsorption
Objectives
The main research objective is monitoring and providing optimum air quality management and solutions on the indoor/outdoor air pollution and industrial emissions from oil and gas, energy, mining, and minerals sectors.

Overview
The SWM research provide research support in the field of environmental engineering and waste management, including industrial, medical, and infectious waste among all other types of solid waste.
The main focus area include:
- Producing advanced materials from waste (Waste to wealth) for environmental applications
- Toxicity and leaching behaviour of different solid waste material
- Environmental impact assessment
- Life cycle assessment
- Solid waste materials characterization (elemental analysis, surface area and porosity, calorific value).
Objectives
To develop, design and propose sustainable waste management strategies in the Kingdom for achieving zero waste and circular economy culture.

Biotechnology research group is multidisciplinary integration of sciences and engineering in order to utilize the huge biochemical potential of microorganisms and biomaterials for the restoration and treatment and impact mitigation of the environment and for the sustainable use of resources.

- Removal from wastewater
- Biobased green additives for construction industry
- Innovative biosensors for monitoring mitigate environmental pollutants in ground and seawater
- Advanced approaches for optimize and predict biological treatment and remediation processes
- Sustainable cultivation of micro-algae to produce renewable biofuels
- Biobased green corrosion inhibitors for industrial application
- Pilot Scale Bio-filter: Control Odor and Green House Gases from Landfill Gas Emissions
