Vision 

Develop a nationally venerated business education for undergraduate and graduate by developing courses that impart cutting edge, innovative and effective knowledge to students so that they can address the rapidly changing needs of national and international business community. Ethics will be at the heart of all accounting courses and our graduates will be valuable resources and first choice for the employers.

The Accounting program is committed to produce intellectually sound accounting graduates that are able to provide competent and value adding services to the community through a team of dedicated academics, who place high premium on research and effective teaching.

Expected Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the accounting program our graduates should be able to: 

Knowledge and Understanding:
PLO-K1: Define the core concepts in business, which include economic, management, and legal environment.
PLO-K2: Outline quantitative business knowledge related to organizations development.
PLO-K3: Outline key management issues related to accounting and auditing.
PLO-K4: Describe accounting and auditing concepts, principles, standards, and processes.
PLO-K5: Recognize and reproduce the information conveyed in each of the financial and cost statements and audit reports; and the way it is used by investors, creditors, regulators and other stakeholders.

Skills:
PLO-S1: Demonstrate management skills necessary for planning and utilization of business information.
PLO-S2: Use quantitative business analysis skills to make sound business decisions.
PLO-S3: Show effective written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
PLO-S4: Analyze accounting, auditing information and financial problems for planning, performance evaluation, coordination and internal control to continuously improve business processes.
