1. Academic and Research Affairs Committee
The Academic and Research Affairs Committee was reformed as a constituent committee emanating from the Board based on the approval of the Board of Trustees in its session No. (17), which was held on 21/11/1445H, corresponding to 29/05/2024. It is an advisory committee to the Board, responsible for assisting the Board in supervising IAU academic and research tasks as well strategic priorities. The role of the chairperson of the committee is to follow up on the education and research activities, along with submitting periodic recommendations to the Board for achieving the highest quality of the university’s academic programs for both undergraduate and postgraduate education in a manner that increases the effectiveness research sector and encourages purposeful experimentation with publicizing knowledge and information. The committee submits regular reports to the council and sets a framework for recommendations regarding issues of policies, quality, and financing for study and approval by the Board. 2. Nominations and Remunerations Committee
The nominations and Remunerations Committee was reformed as a constituent committee emanating from the Board based on the approval of the Board of Trustees in its session No. (17), which was held on 21/11/1445H, corresponding to 29/05/2024.
The Committee's scope concerns recommending nominees and proposing rewards that will be passed to the Board as per the terms of reference and tasks, according to specific criteria and benchmarks which will support the Board in accordance with the principles of governance. Thus, the Board will ensure the development of the institutional system to be an objective and transparent system to make a qualitative leap in terms of procedures and mechanisms for nominations and rewards at IAU. 3. Audit Committee:
The audit Committee was reformed as a constituent committee emanating from the IAU Board of Trustees based on its approval in its No. (17), which was held on 21/11/1445H, corresponding to 29/05/2024. This committee is concerns with studying the relevant reports referred to it by the Board, including reports on the implementation of the university’s strategic plans for the academic, scholarly, administrative, and financial aspects, as well as its KPIs and improvement plans. The verification of the efficiency and effectiveness of governance, risk management, internal control, safety, accuracy and reliability of financial reports, the efficiency and effectiveness of audit work, the independency of external and internal reviewers, compliance with laws, regulations, and instructions too, for submission of the recommendations to the Board. 4. Investment Committee
Investment Committee was reformed as a constituent committee emanating from the Board of Trustees based on its approval the session No. (17), which was held on 21/11/1445H, corresponding to 29/05/2024. It is a committee concerned with developing investment strategies and policies for developing the funds of the investment portfolio. It also reviews the investment strategies and policies regularly to ensure the suitability of changes in the external environment. The committee provides the Board with proposals for amendment to investment policies file along with recommendations. Members of the committee include: -

5. Transformation and Development
Transformation and Development Committee was formed as a constituent committee emanating from the Board of Trustees based on its approval the session No. (17), which was held on 21/11/1445H, corresponding to 29/05/2024. It is a committee concerned with studying the strategic and model transformation process of the university into the new university system. It is responsible for developing a systematic plan (roadmap) academically, administratively, and research-wise, aiming to elevate the university to higher levels and achieve a distinguished leadership position locally and internationally, in line with the developmental and transformative achievements in the Kingdom across various fields, according to Vision 2030. The committee is also concerned with studying the university's organizational structure, enhancing scientific research, innovation, digital transformation, technological advancement, and institutional identity. Additionally, it reviews the strategic plans, policies, performance indicators, vision, and mission, as well as strengthening the role of globalization and international partnerships, preparing reports to be submitted to the Board of Trustees.
