Dr. Basil Al-Shaikh

• Dr. Basil Alshaikh is a graduate of college of medicine and received his PhD in Physiology from University of Sheffield-UK in 1981

• Has more than 25 years of teaching experience for both undergraduate and postgraduate students 

• Has been serving in the area of academic administration for more than 20 years at different levels including:

           * Chairman of Physiology Department

           * Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, College of Applied Medical Sciences

           * Dean of College of Applied Medical Sciences

           * Vice president for Academic Affairs 

• Attended many training courses at both national and international levels in Health Profession Education 

• Attended many training courses at both national and international levels in Academic Leadership 

• Trainer for more than 10 years in Faculty Development Programs at university ,national and GCC levels in areas of effective teaching and student assessments 

• Guest speaker in many workshops in Health Profession Education, Medical Ethics and Professionalism
