TabsOverviewThe Council of the University awards, upon the recommendations from the Department of Family and Community Medicine, the College of Medicine, and the Council of the Deanship of Higher studies, the degree of Diploma and/or Fellowship of IAU University in (to be abbreviated as : (IAU-DFM & IAU-FFM ) to candidates who have successfully completed all program requirements and pass all exams. CollegeCollege of MedicineCampusDammamLevelPostgraduateDegreeFellowship AdmissionTrainees will be admitted to the program based on the unified rules and regulations for graduate studies at Saudi universities. Other requirements include: The applicant must satisfy the unified rules for acceptance in postgraduate programs in University of Dammam. Must be a holder of an MBBS degree from universities recognized by the Ministry of Higher education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Applications from non-Saudis may be accepted in the programs according to the University of Dammam roles and regulations. Must pass a personal interview or any other examination that the department deems necessary Must be full time student and submit evidence to pay the required tuition fees. The Department of family medicine reserves the right to add other conditions/ requirements. Year descriptionFellowship in Family Medicine training program duration is four years. Training consists of two phases: the first two years are designed for essential clinical training in order to qualify trainee to Diploma degree. The last two years for advanced specialist training to qualify trainee to fellowship degree. Study planThe study plan is based on courses, to a total of 92 credit units for Diploma and 184 credit units for Fellowship.
