Summary

Ahmed Mostafa is an associate professor at College of Clinical Pharmacy, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (IAU), Saudi Arabia. Dr. Mostafa received his PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 2012 from The University of Waterloo, Canada and was nominated for the gold medal for the best PhD thesis. He was awarded the best researcher award at the College of Clinical Pharmacy, IAU for the academic year 2018-2019. His main research interests focus on development of novel methods for trace analysis of emerging contaminants of concern and xenobiotics in different environmental and biological matrices using different techniques mainly liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). In addition to the development of coupled techniques such as comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC×GC) and the advancement of the technology including instrumentation and new applications. Moreover, chemometrics and its application in pharmaceutical, environmental and food analysis is another area of interest. He has authored and co-authored more than 80 published peer-review papers, book chapters and conference presentations.
