Vice President’s Message
Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University (IAU) strives for the growth in knowledge and to ensure a bright future for its students. One of the ways it does so is by sponsoring and improving the quality of research conducted at the University. In turn, this empowers the researchers and improves the scope of the scientific research for individuals and society, which are in line with Vision 2030. Scientific research and innovation are important not only for the growth of knowledge and development, but also for economic progress.
IAU works through its mission and objectives to achieve excellence locally, regionally, and globally by providing knowledge, research, and professional services along with an effective community partnership. The strategic design of IAU’s research mission is based on the need to create a research environment that respects Islamic values and the ethical standards for scientific research, and to support research that improves economic growth. In addition, graduate programs are developed with the aim of engaging students and faculty members in research activities. Similarly, to promote scientific research, institutional and regional resources are developed as research centers and as medical, urban, and scientific consultancies, which in turn help in collaborating with companies in the field of science and technology.
