Course Main Objective
The course aims to learn about ethics of media work and media code of ethics and media-related laws in KSA and the Arab Countries.

- The concept of freedom of though and expression- the concept of media freedom and its dimensions.
- The concept of ethics of media work and media code of ethics.
- Aspects of similarity and difference between laws and codes of ethics.
- Role of laws and codes of ethics in regulating the professional media work.
- The professional rules in fields of media and communication- characteristics and morals of media man during performing his job.
- The journalistic commissions, unions and syndicates in the Arab world and KSA.
- Type and nature of censorship on mass media.
- Press offences and penalties thereof
- Copyright and intellectual property protection.
- Press and publications law, electronic publishing, audio-video media in KSA- analysis of media laws and regulations in KSA.
- Analysis of media laws and regulations in the Arab World.
- Impact of communication technology on media legislations.
