Course Description
This is an introductory course in statistics for business We will focus on understanding some basics such as how to generate and interpret statistical graphs, charts, and tables, have a cursory understanding of probability as it applies to statistical applications, calculate and understand the application of confidence intervals, be able to apply statistical hypothesis testing for one population and interpret the results, be able to apply ANOVA procedures and interpret the results
Learning Outcomes
- To understand the difference between descriptive and inferential statistics and how to use them in statistical analysis.
- To analyze data, plot its summaries, construct confidence intervals, make decisions based on evidence.
- To model financial and economic situations and solve the underlying problems
