The University of Dammam participated in the National Festival for Heritage and Culture Al Janadria with an Eastern Home booth during the festival’s 30th anniversary. This participation was to introduce the University of Dammam as being one of the higher education institutions in the Kingdom, what it provides to its students either from programs or graduate studies and to clarify and display the role of the University in the Eastern Province and in the Kingdom and its role towards serving the community.
The Director of Public Relations and Media, the President of the Participating Delegation Eng. Ibrahim Al Khaldi stated that “this participation is part of the annual activities that the University is keen on attending due to its importance to government agencies in the Eastern Province. This also shows the importance of the University of Dammam in the Kingdom and its role to not just elevate education but to serve the community as well which is one of the leading roles of higher education institutions.
The participation of the University evolved this year through the new developments that the University has witnessed. The University’s booth was updated in order to unify it with the educational process and the University’s administration is keen on defining what the University seeks to do; either from projects, infrastructure, or educational procedures that the University is witnessing. The booth was equipped with 10 interactive digital screens which display awareness programs about traffic safety, the most important causes of accidents and the latest achievements and activities of King Fahad University Hospital in Al Khobar such as Cochlear Implants, seminars, and scientific lectures. As well as the activities of the Deanship of student affairs that targets not only students but all the University’s members.
