On Wednesday, December 17, 2014 the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the College of Arts held their second annual exhibition: Achievements in Field Training. The students' exhibits reflected the diversity of programs they had participated in, including: working in local schools, the special education center, working with students who have autism, the program at the Dammam Prison, the Association of Mothers and Children, the Al-Tarahum Association and the Al-Wod Association. The Dean of Faculty presided over the opening ceremony of the exhibition in the morning and the evening exhibition was hosted by H.E. the President of the University and H.E. the Vice President for University Branches. The Vice President addressed the audience and observed how critical this type of training is not only for the students but for the community as well. He noted the success that had been achieved in the area of education by working in the classrooms and praised the efforts of the students with regards to their work in the prisons and the impact the students' work and suggestions have and will have in the future in changing the perceptions of these community institutions.
