Students at the Colleges of Arts and Sciences in Rayann Benefit from the "Journey of A Book" Campaign
The fifth annual Journey of a Book campaign took place this week at UoD's Al Rayan campus, sponsored by the College's Deanship of Student Affairs and organized by volunteers from the Student c=Council of the Colleges of Arts and Sciences. This unique event is not only environmentally sound and cost effective, it also honors the role books play in the pursuit of knowledge as well as the important role of sharing knowledge.
Waad Alshamrani, the organizer of this event, has mentioned that over the years over 5,000 students have donated books, which has benefitted approximately 10,000 students. Incidentally, this sustainably friendly campaign has also benefited countless number of trees.
