Dr. Mohammed Al Shahrani, Director of King Fahad Hospital of the University in Al-Khobar honored 70 students who participated in organizing the first Dammam Annual Medical Symposium to motivate and encourage students to do more volunteer work without neglecting their academic studies.

The Dammam Annual Medical Symposium is the first symposium in the Eastern Province that is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and a variety of lectures, speakers and workshops were held.

DAMS founder Ahmed Almusalmi mentioned that "The DAMS took about 1440 volunteer hours to prepare and accomplish and I wish to thank all the volunteers who helped us in accomplishing our goals. The volunteers included: Feras A. Alkuwaiti, Areej M. Alzamil, Mohammed S. Almulaify, Mohammed A. Alabdrabalreda, Nourah E. Alamri, Eman R. AlBukhari, Najd S. Al-Sulaiman, Mohammad M. Alealiwi, Ammar Y. Alnasser, Omar A. Alghamdi, Mohammed H. Alelaiw, Abdulaziz S. Alqahtani, Arwa M. ALthubaity, Leenah N. Turkistani, Mazen A. Alosail, Taher M. Al Hasan, Anas T. AlHindi, Mashael S. AlShahrani, Fatimah L. Alkhabbaz, Sarah A. Al Dawood, Maan A. Albehair, Majd M. Alrayes, Fatimah M. Alkhudhyr, Mohammed R. Alabbad, Musa’ad S. AlJughaiman, Hussain A. Alturki, Reda A. AlWosaibi and Abdullah M. Alkhalifa".
