His Excellency the President of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Prof. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Rubaish, inaugurated the university teaching and learning exhibition TLEX21 in its second edition, which was organized by the Deanship of Academic Development on Thursday 27 Rajab 1442 AH. The exhibition highlights the quality practices of thirty faculty members from various colleges of the university, the participants presented research posters in teaching and learning illustrating their successful practices in university education from their real experiences in the classroom, highlighting the outcomes of these practices, their impact and opportunities for improvement. The exibition was attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi, the Dean of the Deanship of Academic Development, Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Kathiri, the General Supervisor of the Skills Development Center at Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Dr. Saleh Al-Shehri, and a number of deans, vice-deans, heads of academic departments, and visitors from inside and outside the university. The exhibition visitors were able to meet the presenters and interact with their research posters through QR codes.
In conjunction with the exhibition, the "Professional Fellowship in University Teaching and Learning" program was launched for faculty members, PFUTL, which was recently approved by the University Council. The second series of "Insights in Higher Education" was launched, which is a series of video interviews with academic leaders on pressing topics in higher education. The series hosted members of the Shura Council for the current session: Dr. Amira Al-Jaafari, Dr. Turki Al-Anzi, and a former member of the Council: Prof. Al-Jawhara Bubshait, in addition to a meeting with the Dean of Academic Development Deanship, Dr. Mohammed Al-Kathiri.
The exhibition was covered in the media in local newspapers and on social media. The #TLEX21 hashtag was activated to follow the interactions of the beneficiaries of the exhibition.
