Teaching and Learning Exhibition TLEX22 and Closing Ceremony of the Professional Fellowship in University Teaching and Learning PFUTL
In line with the National Development Vision, and within the framework of the Human Capability Development Program, the Deanship of Academic Development held the University Teaching and Learning Exhibition TLEX22 and the PFUTL Recognition Ceremony. His Excellency the President of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Prof. Abdullah M. Al-Rubaish, inaugurated TLEX22 in its third edition, which was organized by the Deanship of Academic Development on Monday 22 Shawal 1443 AH as a tool for recognizing distinguished educational practices stemming from the reality of the Saudi context to support a culture of innovation. This exhibition is held annually in response to the rapid changes in the world, and in an effort to create and develop a competitive base according to the specifications of global markets, to embody efforts directed towards enhancing the alignment between the outcome of knowledge and educational practices, and the methodology of developing the professional competencies of the academic community.
The exhibition highlights the projects and best practices by 55 fellows and professional mentors of faculty members from different colleges and 6 local universities within 4 tracks representing the scientific paths of the university. The participants presented research posters in teaching and learning illustrating their successful practices in university education from their real experiences in the classroom, highlighting the outcomes of these practices, their impact, and opportunities for improvement. The exhibition was attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ghazi A. Al-Otaibi, the Dean of the Deanship of Academic Development, Dr. Mohammed S. Alkathiri, and a number of deans, vice-deans, heads of academic departments, and visitors from inside and outside the university. The exhibition visitors were able to meet the presenters and discuss about their projects and recommendations. The exhibition included a recognition ceremony for 55 participants of the Faculty Mentorship Certification and the Professional Fellowship in University Teaching and Learning (PFUTL) program.
The exhibition was covered in the media in local newspapers and on social media. The #TLEX22 hashtag was activated to follow the interactions of the beneficiaries of the exhibition.
