The Office of the Dean for University Studies is hosting the University of Dammam's annual Student Awards Ceremony, honoring the outstanding students throughout UOD's colleges for the 1435-1436 AH academic year. The awards ceremonies will begin on Tuesday morning, February 10, 2015and will continue through Thursday, February 12, 2015 at UOD's main lecture hall on the main campus.
1,666 students will be honored from the following Colleges: Design, Nursing, Applied Studies and Community Service, Medicine, Applied Medical Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Dentistry, Computer Science and Information Technology and Clinical Pharmacy.
The Dean of University Studies, Dr. Dalal Bint Muhammed Al-Tamimi, the Vice Dean of University Studies, Dr. Samr Bint Salem Barrayan, UOD administrators, department heads, faculty members, staff and family members of the students being honored will be in attendance at these events. Dr. Al-Tamimi stressed the importance of honoring these outstanding students who have worked so diligently to achieve this level of academic success and hoped that this would encourage others to strive for similar success in their university careers. Dr. Al-Tamimi, expressed her gratitude to God, that the number of honor students at UOD has continuously been on the rise.
Dr. Barayan also mentioned how important award ceremonies like this are in supporting these advanced students, while also encouraging them to continue their hard work since they will become the leaders in the future. She asked God to bless these scholars and to pave their way with ease.
