HRH Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Province inaugurated the 3rd Career Forum on Sunday, April 17, 2016. The forum was organized by the University of Dammam and was attended by Sulaiman Abdulrahman Al Thunaian, Mayer of Al Khobar and a number of officials in the district. The forum was held in Al Dhahran International Expo.
The inauguration ribbon was cut by HRH to announce the opening of the forum. After that he took a tour of the exhibition, where 117 participants were present; either from companies, educational institutions, colleges or deanships from the University. A number of job positions for different fields were available such as; health, engineering, accounting, training, Petrochemicals, education and business administration. Also, HRH was highlighted on the services, jobs and scientific fields of the participating agencies.
Dr. Abdullah Al Rubaish, President of the University expressed his thanks and gratitude to HRH Prince of the Eastern Province for attending and sponsoring the 2016 Career Forum Ceremony and he affirmed that due to the previous years’ success, the University was motivated to present a highly distinctive version for this year. The forum was characterized by its interaction between students, especially during the forum’s accompanying workshops, and lectures.
Dr. Al Rubaish also mentioned that “During this forum, the University aimed at reducing the time that students take in finding job opportunities after graduation in addition to that, the labor market will have a chance to swiftly snatch qualified cadres. Furthermore, the University worked very hard on bridging the gap between job sectors and graduates and helped to enlighten students on the available job opportunities and introduced them to the effective ways while searching for a job.
