The College of Arts Launches a Joint Program with SOAS in Museum Studies.
The Dean of the College of Arts at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Dr. Mashael Al-Akli, welcomed a delegation from SOAS University of London in the presence of the college's vice deans, the Chair of the History and Heritage Department, and program officials. Discussions focused on preparations for admitting students to the Postgraduate Diploma Program in Museum Studies, supported by the Museums Commission. The program, set to launch in early April this year, will grant a joint certificate bearing the names of both universities.
Several steps were agreed upon to ensure the academic program's success and enhance the quality of provided services. Additionally, the delegation reviewed new academic programs in the college, which align with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and meet both local and international accreditation standards. Discussions also touched on potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions.
The visit included a field tour of the college's classrooms and university facilities, as well as a visit to the Deanship of Graduate Studies. The delegation expressed their delight with the visit and the warm hospitality they received, commending the university's pioneering and global role. They also expressed their eagerness to expand this international partnership to encompass further academic programs and research endeavors.
