Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University ranked first globally in the Zairi International Award for Excellence in Higher Education, by winning the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Community’ award for the year 2023. The honorary shield was received by the Vice President for Development and Community Partnership, Dr. Nuhad Alomair, and the General Supervisor of the Deanship of Quality and Academic Accreditation, Dr. Ahmad Al- Kuwaiti, and the Director of the Community Partnership Department at the university, Mrs. Najah Al Mihemid. The honoring took place at the official ceremony held in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
Dr. Nuhad Alomair mentioned that this award is an official international recognition for the outstanding performance of higher education institutions around the world, particularly in areas related to research, digital transformation, and community partnership, which is one of the university's main objectives alongside education and scientific research. She assured that the university always seeks to provide academic and research services with an effective community partnership.
Mrs. Najah Al Mihemid also highlighted this achievement saying that this distinction resulted from the integration of efforts between all the university’s departments to fulfill its commitment to the community through various developmental projects and initiatives. In her speech, she also emphasized on the remarkable annual growth of the university's performance indicators in social responsibility and qualitative partnerships with various sectors, which aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision and emerges from the objectives of the university as well as the interest of His Excellency, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rubaish, towards supporting this aspect and confirming the university’s leadership in it.
