Facilitating liaison with the academic community
The Faculty Mentorship Certification Program (FMCP) is a comprehensive program that welcomes new faculty members into the academic community at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. The program, which began in May 2016, is designed to familiarize new faculty members from all academic departments with the university's rules and regulations and to provide them - through workshops and professional mentoring meetings - with the tools necessary for success in academia.
Vision
An outstanding mentoring program that supports faculty to fulfill their potential as professors, researchers, and innovators.
Program Partners
There are (23) entities participating in the program that manage the main functions at the university associated with faculty members’ affairs, as shown in the agenda.
Target Group
- New faculty members
- Newly joined members at the university or those who have returned from scholarships, and are within their early years of academic service.
Mentors
They are faculty members with at least 3 years of experience at IAU. The invitation is made at the university level to submit applications to join as mentors, and those who meet the requirements of the training program for preparing mentors (which is the first phase of the mentorship program) become mentors.
