Course Description
In order to be successful in the workplace, modern day professionals require extensive communication skills along with the technical knowledge. Successful technical communicators know how to organize and present complex information so that the ideas are understandable to many readers, viewers, and listeners. This course focuses on the writing skills necessary to advance in academic as well as professional settings. In this course students will have a hands-on experience in writing communication artifacts such as memos, text messages and letters. Students will learn to write different formal and informal reports required in different professional contexts. Furthermore, students will also be required to prepare a scientific report and deliver an oral presentation on a topic related to Information Technology major.
