Course Main Objective
This course aims to make students acquainted with the basic concepts of information security field and vulnerability and threats in information environment; it further deals with types and levels of information security and analyze procedures of information security and safety in libraries and information centers.

- History of information security.
- Concepts of cybersecurity (essentials of information security- standards of safeguarding information security).
- Planning for information security.
- Risk management in information security.
- Threats to cybersecurity.
- Protection procedures of information security (firewall- antivirus programs- digital signature- digital certificates- domain- performance records- means of physical security).
- Moral and legal matters in cybersecurity.
- Cooperation in field of information security.
- Examples from information security strategies in world countries and KSA.
