Course Description
This course provides education and training in principles of clinical research and basic concepts of evidence-based Medicine. It addresses quantitative and qualitative health research skills and introduces the students to basic concepts of research methods including different study designs, standard epidemiologic measures of incidence and prevalence, and measures of association such as relative risk, absolute risk and odd ratio. It will equip the student with the ability to apply a range of practical health research methodologies, the capacity to evaluate health research projects, the ability to prepare reliable and relevant evidence determined by a sound scientific research and critical thinking.
