Course Main Objective
To learn about the basic concepts of Surveying & Mapping Science and its importance in geographic studies; learn about methods of cadastral survey and develop skill of using surveying devices practically and complete work at office; differentiate among methods of using devices of measuring distance and range on maps in lab and develop students' skill on using such devices and further training on correct basics of using map in data representation and role of modern technology in service the said science.

- 1.1 Describe methods of cadastral surveying and its importance in mapping.

- 2.1 Differentiate among types of maps and the different methods of preparing and implementing them.
- 2.2 Employ modern information technology and GIS software and remote sensing in cadastral surveying and setting out the earth surface phenomena.
- 2.3 Prepare the maps by traditional and automatic methods using GIS and remote sensing programs.
