Course Main Objective
To define history and concept of communication, its elements, functions, characteristics, levels, obstacles and evolution over time and how to differentiate among the old and modern theories of communication and effects of means of communication on community. To explain the importance of printed journalism and electronic journalism and learn about the audio and video media and satellites; clarify the characteristics of public relations and reasons of being concerned with and its aims; define news agencies and their aims and functions and analyze role of social media in our daily life.

- The concept of Islamic media and its elements, aims and characteristics- liaison man in Islam and how to be prepared and qualified.
- The concept of public relations and its nature and evolution over time- public relations in modern state and reasons of being concerned with.
- Origin of printed journalism and stages of journalism industry.
- Electronic journalism and services it provides to communication.
- Origin of radio and its evolution and feature as a medium of mass communication
- Television and its characteristics as a mode of communication, live broadcasting and satellites.
- News agencies and their aims and functions.
- Social media and their role in daily life.
