Course Main Objective
To make students acquire the skills necessary to identify the essential features of Information & Library Science theoretically and technically and further to learn about the most important services rendered by the library and using the internet in scientific research.

- 1.1 Explain the essential concepts related to Information Science and its issues and the historical development of Information & Library Science as well as history of information resources and institutions and their services.

- 2.1 Differentiate between the various processes of bibliographic control and information services as well as methods of information storage and retrieval and further role of information networks and the internet in education and scientific research.
- 2.2 Employ information technology in conducting scientific research in field of library and information.
