Course Description
This course will examine the strategies and structures of international business and assess the special roles of an international business's various functions. It will provide students with understanding of international trade theories, foreign direct investment, regional economic integrations and strategic entry modes.
Course Objectives
- To provide students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to understand the global economic, political, cultural and social environment within which firms operate.
- To equip students with understanding of the challenges that firms face while operating in international markets.
- To prepare students to formulate and execute strategies, plans, and tactics to succeed in international business ventures
- To enable students to compare and select suitable international markets and appropriate foreign market entry mode
