Course Description
Theoretical content:
General chemistry101 course covers these fundamental subjects:
Chemical foundations, atoms, Molecules, and Ions, stoichiometry, types of chemical reactions and solution stoichiometry, atomic structure and periodicity, bonding: general concepts and covalent bonding: orbitals.
Practical content
Identification of anions and cations present in a simple inorganic salts.

Objectives:
- To recognize the measurement units and how to know the signification figures and how to conversion between units.
- To recognize atoms, molecules, and ions.
- Recognize different ways to express concentration.
- Perform some simple chemical calculations based on the writing of balanced chemical equations.
- To differentiate between the types of chemical reactions.

- To recognize theelectronic distribution of the atoms and the periodic properties of the elements in the periodic table.
- To determine 3D shapes of molecules.
