Course Description
This course focuses on the introduction to evidence-based practice/medicine (EBP/EBM), fundamentals of research and statistics (including measures, reliability, validity, and ethical concerns), evaluation of clinical research proposals and reports, an overview of the FDA drug approval processes, five steps of EBP (i.e. identify/formulate answerable questions, searching for information using active search strategies, critically appraisal the evidence, apply the evidence in practice and evaluate EBP).
