Course Description
The Concept of Structure course covers the fundamentals of structure, which are essential concepts for all students of architecture. The following subjects will be covered: an introduction to structural phenomenal loads, forces, reaction, structural elements, types of supports, stability and analysis and determinacy, normal force, shear force, identifying the bending moment for different structural members, analysis of simple frames and trusses, properties of plan sections as well as normal stress distributions.
