Course Description
This unit is a general introduction to human body & different systems physiology. It mainly examines the cardiovascular physiology and its changes, homeostasis and its integration to other body functions, and regulatory mechanisms from the perspective of their evolution, complexity and functioning in humans states of health. This includes chemical & cellular basis of human life, function of the nervous system, the effect of drugs on it & its communication with the endocrine systems. In addition some chemical and physical science principals that apply to the body will be introduced where appropriate.
