Course Description
This course is designed to study the basic concepts of accounting information systems and how to use them manually or automatically. This enables students to participate in structuring the accounting system. This is to be fulfilled by assembling, analyzing, processing and communicating information to serve the internal and external uses of accounting information.
Course Aims
- Identify the basic concepts that underlie the accounting information systems.
- Distinguish between the different stages of the accounting information systems cycles.
- Identify how to apply the different concepts and measuring the value and quantity of information.
- Study the accounting database management systems and how to design it.
- Study the feasibility of the proposed alternatives for the development of accounting information systems.
- Study the impact of electronic data on the operation of the accounting information systems.
- Study some electronic accounting information systems.
