Sahar Alborikan, a Cardiac Technology graduate, class of 2012. I graduated with an excellent GPA from the first batch. I worked immediately at King Fahad Specialist Hospital for almost two years before I took my fantastic postgraduate studies journey. During that time, I was working as a passionate Echocardiographer, translating my rich learning background in dealing with different groups of adult and pediatric patients. I’m now a Phd holder from Queen Mary University London in cardiovascular medicine which helped me profoundly to grow in this evolving field. Before that, I got a distinguished MSc degree from Kings College London. I believe that I wouldn’t be where I’m today without the strong foundation given by Cardiac Technology program. My research interests have been shifted since then and well-constructed which now cover cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac biomarkers, and health transformation including digital health. My recent research publications around the diagnostic findings by echocardiography and cardiopulmonary exercise testing to monitor the effect of interventions and progress of different cardiovascular diseases in the Eastern Health Region. 

The journey began in 2008 with the goal of becoming a well-rounded healthcare professional as cardiac technologist. I pursued this field due to my passion for healthcare and my fascination with the human heart's intricate workings. In 2012, armed with a wealth of knowledge and a burning desire to make a difference, I proudly graduated as a cardiac technologist.  

As a cardiac technologist, I have had the opportunity to specialize in various areas, honing my skills in specific diagnostic procedures and techniques. This ongoing professional development has not only expanded my career prospects but has also deepened my sense of fulfillment and purpose, I’m a mother of three with a busy schedule in and out of work, but the rewarding feeling of being able to save a life is indescribable. Reflecting on my journey from student to cardiac technologist, I feel incredibly grateful for the path I chose. This path has empowered me to be better for myself, for my family and for the whole community. This is a warning that on calls in my profession could be tiring, but saving life is absolutely inspiring. 

My name is Maram AL Qahtani, and I graduated from Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University (Dammam University) in 2013 from the College of Applied Medical Sciences. Throughout my education, I had many opportunities to practice my knowledge in various governmental and well-known hospitals such as Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Riyadh, where I completed my undergraduate studies, and then followed that up with a year of internship at several national hospitals, including Aseer Central Hospital. In my third year at the university, I chose invasive technology (Cardiac Cath Lab) and was thrilled when I was accepted into the program. 
I am proud of my achievements, and I feel that my work in this life-saving field requires hard work and dedication. After working in this field for 11 years, I am currently working at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center in Riyadh, which is considered the best hospital in the Middle East and one of the top ten hospitals in the world. I have no regrets in choosing this specialty, and I have encouraged many graduating students to study and practice it as well. As women, we are moving forward to represent our vision 2030 and our beloved country, and this field offers endless opportunities for ambitious individuals.

Amal Hamad, Cardiac Technology, Echocardiography subspecialty, graduated in 2019 with an excellent grade and honor degree. I’m Incredibly proud that I’ve learned from the faculty members who combined good manners, science and knowledge, which developed me in the scientific field. 

In 2020, I completed the internship in different cardiac centers. This experience significantly contributed to increasing my scientific and practical skills which has benefited me on a professional and social basis, moreover, I realized the importance of Echocardiographers as we play an effective part in diagnosing the cardiovascular diseases. During my professional journey, I have presented some clinical scientific materials affiliated to Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University in Cardiac technology department as an external collaborator. 

Many thanks and gratitude to the faculty members for their efforts, and I ask Allah to be the best representative of this department and to grant me to return this favor.

My name is Savannah Alhindi, a Cardiovascular Technology graduate. I was very blessed with keen Professors and Teaching team, every day with them has added to the excitement of learning and developing new skills. Learning about the heart, hearing it beating and how it works was a life-changing experience. I specialized in cardiac catheterization, one of the reasons for choosing this specialty; I like to feel adrenaline while working; a bit of action to save a patient's life.  

I had the opportunity to work as a Clinical Teaching Assistant at the department of Cardiovascular technology after graduating. Being a part of the educational team that I admired while I was a student is a proud moment for me, observing them made me more passionate to spread the knowledge of saving a heart to the community around me. 

Currently I’m working as a clinical specialist for a structural heart valve company for TAVI and surgical, my background in cardiovascular technology has supported me a significantly in my field of work and I’m looking forward to learning more about the most important organ in human body.   

I have had the most incredible journey as a cardiac technology student the past four years. There is so much to learn about cardiovascular science in general and echocardiography in particular, which is my sub-specialty. During our studies, we had an engaging and hands-on learning experience that improved our skills and critical thinking and prepared us fully to start our internship year. Our profession is valuable in the management and diagnosis of cardiovascular patients and supporting our cardiac lab team. I am grateful to be a part of a passionate, supportive and dedicated community and I find joy in learning more about my specialty every day.  

My name is Ghadeer Al-Turki, a graduate of the Cardiac Technology department, specializing in cardiac catheterization. Cardiac catheterization is crucial for improving individuals' health and saving lives. It's a vital part of care that can save many lives and enhance the quality of life for heart patients. It combines science, technology, and compassionate care. My experience in the department was both enjoyable and inspiring. It wasn't just studying and working; it was a journey of development and progress. I encountered complex concepts and advanced techniques in diagnosing and treating heart diseases, facing continuous challenges. Every day was an opportunity to gain new knowledge and enhance practical skills. After graduation and during my internship year, I applied what I learned practically in the hospital, directly dealing with patients and being part of their treatment, which was a beneficial experience that reinforced my practical understanding of cardiac catheterization procedures. Through my experience, I realized the importance of continuous education and development, as cardiac sciences continually evolve with the emergence of new technologies, requiring staying informed and adapting to new challenges.
