Course Description

Introduction to catalysis- Types of adsorption isotherm (Temkin, Freundlich, Brunaner-Emett- Teller isotherm)- Characterization of catalysis and their surface (x-ray diffraction-scanning electron microscopy (SEM)- transmission electron microscopy (TEM)-x-ray fluorescence-auger electron spectroscopy (AES)- The significance of pore structure and surface:

a-Volumetric and  gravimetric methods.                                

b-Gas adsorption and mercury porosimeter methods of estimate pore volume diameter.

c- Types of hysteresis loops.
