Course Description

Value Engineering is an important and integral part of successful planning, design and construction of any project. This course presents and examines state-of-the-art methods, techniques and approaches used in value engineering. The role and responsibility of designers and owners in value engineering will be addressed and students will have the chance to examine real life examples and project case studies that demonstrate the application and benefits of value engineering. Furthermore, the student will learn the life cycle cost analysis in order to be used for analysing the value of the project on the long-term basis.
